NEW YORK, June 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 jolted 107 km WSW of Diego de Almagro, Chile at 17:15:04 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 96.0 km, was initially determined to be at 26.60 degrees south latitude and 71.10 degrees west longitude. ■
